說到香港的塑膠工業,應該沒有人不認識「紅A」這一個品牌。作為一間從事關於環保的設計工作室,我們從不鼓勵公市民”濫用”一次性塑膠, 但如果是優質塑膠,及用得其所。塑膠確是可以減少生活上不必要的浪費。甚至可以用足一輩子。 本次展品是要探索紅A的經典產品, 一個因香港制水而普及的日用品-「紅A水筒」。作為現今無處不在,及用途廣泛的生活物品,究竟能否化身成完全不一樣用途的公共設施及玩味坐具呢?團隊希望藉今次展覽可以實驗一下。

Red A Rocking Chair

When speaking of Hong Kong's plastic industry, everyone knows the "Red A" brand. As a design studio focused on environmental protection, we never encourage the public to "overuse" disposable plastics. However, when it comes to high-quality plastics that are properly utilized, they can actually reduce unnecessary waste in our daily lives. Some plastic items can even last a lifetime. This exhibition aims to explore Red A's classic products, particularly the "Red A Water Container" - a daily necessity that became widespread during Hong Kong's water rationing period. As an ubiquitous item with versatile applications in today's world, could these containers be transformed into completely different public facilities and playful seating? Our team hopes to experiment with this concept through this exhibition.
