Out of Edge –leather collection
Leather industry generates significant amounts of solid waste. By far, the largest quantity of waste is generated at the cutting step. The cutting rate for leather can range 25-60%. With some high quality items, only 40% of the surface of the leather is used.
Out of edge is the collection to use the rest of the leather after cutting or trimming. In this collection, besides putting animal elements in to the cable management, designers also integrate origami into the wallet and pouch by only few folds.
皮革產業在裁剪過程中產生大量廢料，損耗率高達 25% 至 60%，高檔皮革甚至僅選用 40% 的皮面。「Out of Edge」系列正為這些裁剪後遺留的邊角餘料賦予新生命。設計團隊巧妙將動物造型語彙融入線材收納工具，並引入極簡折紙結構（Origami），僅需寥寥數折，便將零碎皮塊轉化為實用無縫的皮夾與小收納包。作品不僅最大化運用珍貴自然資源，更以靈動手感與永續思維，為皮革餘料帶來兼具趣味與實用性的美學轉化。
