Candles have a natural way of bringing people together—sharing not just light, but warmth and a sense of magic. In recent years, however, public candle-lighting traditions in Hong Kong have quietly faded due to safety and littering concerns, weakening the vibrant community spirit these gatherings once fostered.
By repurposing eggshells into natural wax containers, we teach participants how to craft unique, eco-friendly eggshell candles. This waste-free solution bypasses environmental concerns while reviving the warmth of community candle lighting.
Requiring no specialized tools or fixed setups, this mobile workshop can pop up anywhere across the city.
點起一盞蠟燭，不只是點亮光芒，更拉近了人與人之間的距離，分享一份獨特的溫暖與魔力。可惜這幾年因為安全與垃圾考量，這份點燈傳統在香港漸漸消失，連帶讓社區之間少了往日的溫度。 我們希望能用環保的方式找回這份美好。透過將日常蛋殼回收再利用，帶大家一起動手做蛋殼蠟燭，在解決清潔顧慮的同時，也重新點亮社區裡的溫暖互動。 不需笨重的桌椅或專業工具，我們的流動工作坊可以在這座城市的任何角落隨時展開。
