"Looking Up, Looking Down"
In the rush of our daily commutes, how often do we pause to notice the neighborhood around us? "Looking Up, Looking Down" is a mobile installation mounted on a bicycle, inviting busy Hong Kongers to put away their smartphones and appreciate the city from fresh perspectives. Featuring three stacked wooden crates designed as periscopes, the piece displays video footage captured looking skyward, facing groundward, and walking backward. Equipped with five detachable periscopes, the project encourages passersby to wander, shift their viewing angles, and uncover the subtle, quiet joys of urban life.
