Chinese Army Men

For decades, museum visitors could only admire the magnificent Terracotta Warriors behind protective glass, unable to feel their intricate details. To bridge this gap, KaCaMa leverages 3D modeling and printing technology to transform these ancient relics into a durable, eco-plastic chess set. Backed by historical research, our design digitally restores missing and damaged armor and weaponry, enabling hands-on interaction. By bringing history onto a playable chessboard, visitors can physically touch the soldiers' attire, explore ancient tactical strategies, and connect with cultural heritage through engaging gameplay.
